On behalf of the Reviewer of the EMDG scheme, Mr Michael Lee, and as a key component of the Review, a Survey is being implemented by TNS Australia, an independent research agency.

Austrade is looking for responses from those currently involved in the EMDG scheme as well as other businesses who are unaware of the scheme or who have not previously applied.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete, and you are able to partially complete the survey and return later. A good response from the Survey will provide a strong source of information and go towards making the Review as evidence-based as possible.

Please click the following link to start the survey.

If the link does not take you directly to the survey, please copy the URL and paste it into the address bar of your browser. Please save this email as it contains the link required if you wish to return to the survey later. Australian government statistical clearing house approval number: 00494 -- 04.

All of your responses are entirely confidential - they are not linked to you as an individual or organisation and only aggregated findings are reported back.
In addition to this survey, the other key components of the Review are:

  • Public Submissions – currently received more than 180;
  • Public Meetings, advertised on the Review Website; and which will shortly commence;
  • An econometric study, which assesses the impact of the scheme on the Australian economy; and utilises information from this survey; and
  • An analysis of all of the above to develop conclusions and recommendations for Mr Lee’s Final Report to Minister Robb.

The survey will be open until Monday 20 April 2015.

*The EMDG scheme is a key Australian Government financial assistance program for aspiring and current exporters. The scheme is administered by Austrade and supports a wide range of industry sectors and products, including inbound tourism and the export of intellectual property and know-how outside Australia.
