The Australian Businesswomen's Forum is very pleased to announce that Her Excellency Dr Shaikha Al Maskari will keynote the Australian Arab Business Forum, to be held at The University of Sydney from 21-22 May, 2015.
Dr Al Maskari is a pre-eminent Emirati businesswoman and philanthropist, who is dedicated to influencing, inspiring and activating opportunities for Arab women globally. She is also a strong supporter of inter-faith dialogue, cross-cultural understanding, environmental conservation and humanitarian aid.
Dr Al Maskari is Chairperson of Al Maskari Holding, a multinational conglomerate employing over 270,000 people globally. Al Maskari Holding operates in the fields of oil and gas, renewable energy, mining, health care, real estate and facilities management, financial services and management.
She is also Chairperson of Tricon Group and Johnson Controls, and sits on the boards of several non-profit institutions, including the Arab International Women's Forum (AIWF), Women for Sustainable Growth (W4SG) and the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF).
In 2006, Dr Al Maskari co-founded the Diyarbakir Micro-credit Project in Turkey, which has provided finance and for the successful launch of some 70,000 entrepreneurs and the creation of 400,000 jobs.
She also contributed to the formation and development of the recent G20 Gender Equality Policy.
