In 2015, 56% of Australian exporters expected to see increases in trade with China. The newly minted FTA with China (ChAFTA) also drew positive expectations among 49 per cent of exporters – and interestingly the 2015 DHL Export Barometer showed the free trade agreement with Japan has been more beneficial than exporters expected, with actual positive impacts cited at 41% compared to the anticipated 35% in 2014. Will this be the same with ChAFTA?
