The ECA is pleased to announce an alliance with Trusted Trader International (TTI) and as such, our members will have access to professional and straight forward advice/feedback on the recently introduced Trusted Trader Program in Australia (i.e. from 1 July 2016).
For exporters, this poses to be one of the most important changes since Federation, in relation to smoothing current and future Customs Barrier delays with our trading partners. Whilst the Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA’s) with these countries will evolve over time, it is important to understand which countries have a similar Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) or Trusted Trader Program in order to formulate your future supply chain strategies and target markets.
Given the often complex or company specific issues surrounding this initiative, we have decided to form this alliance with TTI, so we can provide access to their professional advisors for ‘One on One’ consultations of 45 minute duration. TTI also has the ability to produce Trusted Trader Profiler (TTP) dashboards, that can be produced from your export declaration data (and where appropriate import declaration data), based on a template letter of authority for the company to access declaration data direct from the Integrated Cargo System of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)/Australian Border Force (ABF). The ECA is currently negotiating with the DIBP in an attempt to provide cost effective data extracts for our members.
We are confident that once the initial consultation and declaration data extraction/dashboard activities take place, our members will be in a more informed position on whether to explore the benefits available of Australia’s Trusted Trader Program and thereby develop a global secure supply chain for our exported products.
